HUBER Micro Strainer ROTAMAT® Ro9 is proving to be the go-to screen for holiday parks, hotels and other leisure facilities. Here a leisure facilities case study with update on another Ro9 order for a hotel.

2020 HUBER Micro Strainer ROTAMAT® Ro9 2020 installation at Cricket St. Thomas

Lusty Beg resort is situated on an island a short ferry ride from the mainland. Without access to  a municipal sewage treatment works, the resort provides their own, ensuring proper treatment of everything discharged from the array of guest facilities.

One of the most recent upgrades is a new RBC, along with a HUBER screen up front. The HUBER Micro Strainer ROTAMAT® Ro9 being installed will provide enhanced screening ahead of the new RBC. The unit will be mounted in a tank to reduce the amount of civils work required and is fitted with a finer than normal 3mm perforated plate. The 3mm plate will remove a higher proportion of finer material, reducing the risk of damage to the new RBC.

By choosing a tried and tested HUBER screen, the remote site will benefit from reduced operational and maintenance requirements, since the screen is designed for unattended operation over long periods of time. Disposal costs are also reduced thanks to the Ro9’s integrated screenings washing and compaction system, without the need for additional pieces of treatment equipment. Fitted with a single motor, the Ro9 draws very little power and with minimal water consumption, provides very low whole life costs.

The HUBER Micro Strainer ROTAMAT® Ro9 is proving to be the go-to screen for holiday parks, hotels and other leisure facilities looking for a reliable, low cost solution. Please read our full case study How to upgrade and improve the small treatment works at leisure facilities?
