HUBER are back at live events

Here is a summary of the recent live events where have exhibited over the last couple of months. It has been great to see new and existing customers again at these events; the attendance has been high at all these events, suggesting that everyone is keen to get back to face-to-face contact again.

IFAT returned to Munich after 4 years and was a great success.

At The Water Equipment Show, this year’s theme for the show was “The drive to Net Zero – Opportunities for all” we were very pleased to be given the opportunity to highlight the new HUBER CarbonWin® Solution.

If customers are looking to reduce the power consumption and reduce sludge tankering costs then the HUBER Screw Press Q-PRESS® Sludge Dewaterer could be the solution with a single low KW drive of between 0.55 and 4.1kw whilst still providing a sludge cake typically between 20 – 25%DS.

Utility Live was a new event for HUBER at the NEC and we were pleased to be part of the Isle Utilities Stand where we participated in two speaking presentations:

A Tech Talk – where Dale Foster, HUBER’s Area Sales Manager displayed the innovative ThermWin® solution. This system is used to recover heat (energy) from wastewater via the HUBER RoWin heat exchanger. HUBER Solutions for Green Buildings - Huber Technology UK - Rotamat Ltd.

And a Dragons Den Pitch- where Richard Willis pitched the CarbonWin® solution HUBER CarbonWin® Process - YouTube

There was lots of interest on both these solutions, being very innovative solutions and addressing lots of the issues that many water companies are already or will be having to address in the future.

IFAT returned to Munich after 4 years and was a great success. HUBER’s stand was over 1,100m2 with separate areas for Aftersales, SAS products and the heat recovery systems. With over 50 products across the whole Huber product range on display it was great to see how close the customers could get to the equipment, with exposure to all of the possible applications, solutions and innovations being presented on the stand.

Most recently, we were part Yorkshire Water Mini conference held by the Pump Centre in Leeds. This was a great opportunity for us as a dedicated conference for Yorkshire Water and their staff with the theme on “Dynamic Maintenance. It was a great opportunity for Dale Foster and Steven Moran (HUBER; s regional field manager) to have the opportunity to connect with Yorkshire water. Our extensive regional teams can provide local aftersales care, service, repair, spares and preventative maintenance as well as hire machines. Please get in touch to find out more.

So looking forward now to September, we are exhibiting at RWM on 14-15th September at the NEC, this is primarily an industrial event where we will be displaying our pre and post digestion solutions to our Anaerobic Digestion customers. Our focus at this event is to re connect with our Anaerobic Digestion customers, as there has been a recent change to food waste collection requirements in the Environmental Act, and a new Green Heat Network Fund worth £270m opening in April 2022. AD site operators will be looking to optimise existing sites ready for these changes by local councils coming into force from 2023. When introduced, the changes will see food waste collected separately from all households, businesses and organisations, with Defra committing to eliminating food waste from landfill by 2030 and working closely with local authorities to end confusion over household recycling and ensure food waste is routinely collected from all premises across the country.
