Huber Technology awarded large service work contract in Ireland

17.09.2015
Huber Technology’s established regional service centre in Portadown, Northern Ireland have recently been awarded a large service contract from Celtic Anglian Water.
Dublin Bay RoS2 Sludge Thickeners

The contract is for major service work to be carried out on 6 x RoS2/ BG4 Sludge Thickeners installed at Dublin Bay and includes mechanical work, control panel testing, re-commissioning including process verification.

Since installation in 2003 and 2008 the 6 units have processed over 14.2 million cubic metres of sludge. The service work will be phased over a number of weeks and began in May 2015 and will be completed by August 2015.

“It’s now 6 years since HUBER developed its network of regional depots to provide local expertise and a fast response to support our equipment” explained Huber’s Operations Manager, Kevin Ockwell.  “We are increasingly seeing customers choosing to work with the OEM, rather than using a general mechanical contractor, to ensure these vital assets are maintained by the equipment manufacturer using genuine parts and expertise to improve reliability, optimise performance and reduce the risk of failure. In addition customers are seeing genuine cost benefits in working directly with HUBER”.

Huber Technology operates regional depots in 4 locations across the country, in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Yorkshire, and from their head office in Wiltshire, providing spares, service, maintenance and repairs.   Huber Technology is seeing a growing list of companies including Northumbrian Water, Northern Ireland Water, Scottish Water, Thames Water, Welsh Water and Yorkshire Water entering into formal agreements to maintain their equipment.
