Safety for operating and service personnel:
Independently opening emergency exit for shaft building and roofs
Accidents in the channel network or in building are rare, but unfortunately not impossible. When there is fire or toxic gas, lives of men are in great danger. This is the same with with burst pipes or fire due to flammable liquids flowing into channels as well as domestic fuel. The emergency exit can save life and is therefore very significant.
Before, existing manhole covers couldn't be opened from inside. But when it is the matter of seconds, manhole openings and skylights must open independently.
The HUBER company has completed the extensive manhole equipment programme by a novelty which can save life, namely the emergency exit.
With the HUBER emergency exit you can choose between load bearing and walkable manhole covers and they are, like all the other manhole covers, made of stainless steel. Due to pickling bath and passivation it is corrosion and maintenance-free for a long time. Gas assisted spring dampers take over the independant opening of the emergency exits.
In one movement the manhole cover respectively the sky light is open. It can be wall mounted or embedded in concrete.
