    Drying of sludge, particularly sewage sludge, has long since been a well established process method applied on modern WWTPs.
    Further development of previous HUBER drying plants led to the KULT® Middle Temperature Dryer BT+, which meets the high requirements in terms of environmental compatibility and economy.

    The modular design of the system permits the design of individual plants that can in an exemplary manner be integrated into existing concepts.
    The plants are equipped with an exhaust air treatment system that is adjusted to the specific application in order to safely meet the ‘TA Luft’ standards of the technical instructions for air pollution prevention (as part of the Federal Emission Control Law).

    KULT® Middle Temperature Dryer BT+ systems consist of two or several belts arranged on top of each other. On these belts, the product to be dried forms a layer that permits air to stream through. While the process air streams through the product layer, efficient drying of the air takes place. The product moisture is removed by the cross-flowing process air. As the drying degree increases, the sewage sludge volume decreases.
    During the drying process the sewage sludge is not exposed to any mechanical stress. The dust content in the product and exhaust air is therefore minimized.
    The discharged air is introduced into an exhaust air treatment system, which is designed to safely meet the emission standards of the technical instructions for air pollution prevention.

    Through flexible use of heating systems for the drying plant different heat sources (hot water, gas, oil, thermo-oil, vapour) can be utilized for the process. The integration of process energy available on site is common practice.
