The perforated mesh screen is positioned horizontally immediately behind the storm overflow weir of a channel or storm tank. A helically wound screw is installed onto the semi circular screening face. The overflowing storm water flows through the screen whilst the screenings are captured on the perforated plate.
The screw then transports the screenings to one end whilst a brush fitted to the leading edge of the flight cleans the screening face. The screw can be made in a variety of diameters depending upon the required throughput.
The plant is completely made of stainless steel, acid-cleaned and surface passivated.
