The plant is designed for a maximum flow of 16 l/s. The inflow screen removes screenings from the waste water flow. The screenings are dewatered in the integrated press, compacted and then discharged into a container. The cleaned waste water stream in the gravity line is then directed into the Coanda circular grit trap. With the inflow into the Coanda Tulip via a vortex chamber the waste water in addition to the radial component gets a tangential flow direction. With the pressure drop, air is sucked in automatically and mixed with the waste water flow. Using these three effects, namely the Coanda effect, the tea-cup effect and the air inlet it ensures that the organic components are kept at the surface and discharged over the weir; the grit then settles in the lower trough area.
The washed sand and grit is discharged via the classifying screw, statically dewatered and discharged into a container.
The machine is completely made of stainless steel, acid-cleaned after manufacture and surface passivated. |
