  • Function

A ROTAMAT® Fine Screen / Microstrainer is mounted in a container. While the sludge flows into the container and through the fine screen/microstrainer, all solids are removed. An integrated screenings press transports the screenings out of the container, dewaters them, reduces them in volume and finally drops them into a container.

The whole cleaning process takes place in a closed system avoiding odour annoyance outside.

In addition, the screenings are washed and the press water flows back into the channel. As a result the screenings are clean and can be taken for landfilling. The press water with a high BOD load flows back into the wastewater and into the treatment plant for a proper treatment.

The efficiency and rugged construction of this type of sludge acceptance plant is able to cope with throughputs up to 100 m³/h and has proved is reliability in every day operation. It is the best selling machine of its type in Germany. A compact construction in connection with intelligent technology provides the conditions for continuous operation - day after day, year after year.

ROTAMAT® Sludge Screen with Fine Screen Ro 3.1

Heart of this sludge acceptance plant is the ROTAMATs fine screen with its high removal efficiency and low head loss. A main advantage is the integrated screenings press. The ROTAMAT® fine screen with its rugged construction is resistant against stones and grit, is completely in stainless steel and it is cleaning itself by tines passing through the bars of the screen.

ROTAMAT® Sludge Screen with Micro Strainer Ro 3.2

This plant type using a Micro Strainer instead of a Fine Screen is an efficient and favourably-priced alternative to Ro 3.1 at a generally lower load.
